CMD6
The industry standard for marine CD receivers
evolves with each new generation of the CMD
series of source units. The CMD6 is an AM/FM
CD/USB Receiver that shares the same water
resistant technologies as the flagship CMV1.
The CMD6 (as well as the CMV1, M309 and CMS1)
offers two remote control options. An infrared
remote control is included and you can add up
to 3 of Clarions new wired remote controls. Our
new remotes now freature IR receivers, so you
can take your remote control from the cabin to
the cockpit and have full control over your music
in the palm of your hand.
Clarion introduces BBE MP signal processing
to our marine entertainment products for 2009.
The CMD6, CMV1 and M309 feature this sound
restoration processor. BBE MP (Minimized
Polynomial Non-Linear Saturation) analyzes the
audio waveform and recreates high frequency
harmonics that are lost during digital editing and
mastering or through bandwidth compression to
MP3, WMA or AAC formats. The result of BBE
MP processing is detail and accuracy that more
realistically recreates the live original performance.
This feature can be used on CD's and lossless
compression to extend the frequency response
to an incredible 24kHz.
Marine Audio – Technologies
The fullest line of Marine Specific
entertainment products
When Clarion introduced the world to the
concept of marine audio entertainment more
than a decade ago, we made a commitment to
offering high quality, excellent value products
that were designed from the ground up to
offer superior performance and reliability. To
this day, Clarion remains the most recognized
name in marine entertainment, and for 2009, we
introduce our first marine-specific DVD player.
As a pioneer in this category, Clarion has ensured
that our marine entertainment product line is
complete. We have two full series of speakers,
5 source units, three subwoofers, amplifiers and
a full line of accessories. This means one-stop-
shopping for you and your customers - saving
time and money.
Marine Source Units
For 2009, Clarion offers five unique and different
source units. We now offer DVD, CD and
Digital Media receivers each packed with the
performance, design and features that make
using them easier and more enjoyable.
CMV1
The CMV1 is Clarion's first marine DVD receiver
and sets the benchmark out of the gate for
features and connectivity. The CMV1 features
our tried-and-true flip-down water resistant
escutcheon and a stainless steel chassis. This
means that the CMV1 will last for years and
years. Customers at this level demand reliability
and Clarion delivers.
Clarion's design team took extra care when
coming up with the feature set of the CMV1. In
addition to a 6-channel preamp output, an audio
and an A/V input, Clarion has included a dedicated
line level output. This makes connecting the
CMV1 to a television easy and eliminates the
need to adjust the volume of the source unit
independantly to that of the TV.
