the VRX786RBT and MAX686BT. A Bluetooth-capable mobile phone can deliver your

phone calls through the vehicle's audio system for handsfree communication.

system. A new driving experience is

passengers can enjoy DVD on rear-

mounted screens.

Direct USB iPod

control

You no longer need an expensive

adapter box or interface cable to con-

nect your iPod to your Clarion source

unit. Simply connect the USB cable

included with the iPod to the rear

USB input for battery charging and

complete control of your iPod.* Not

only an iPod but also many different

mobile storage devices can be con-

nected to the rear USB connector

with up to 130,560 music files (512

folder with 255 files per folder).

24-bit DAC

Noise generated by conventional

DAC IC’s are distributed randomly

throughout the spectrum, including

the audible range. To circumvent

this, Clarion adopts a high-perform-

ance 24-bit DAC normally only found

in expensive home audio systems.

Not only does it cancel out unwanted

noise well into the non-audible high

frequency range, but it also extends

the S/N ratio for clearer, more realis-

tic sound.

Windows Media Digital

Rights Management

(WMDRM 10) format

supported

Audio, video, and other data in the

WMDRM 10 format cannot be

played back and transferred if your

equipment does not support the for-

mat, even if you purchase the files

legitimately. The Clarion source unit

supporting the WMDRM 10 format

enables you to play back music files

of DRM 10 format that you purchased

and downloaded from Internet music

distribution services or other legiti-

mate websites.

6-channel RCA line output

Equipped with 2 channels for Front

(L/R), 2 channels for Rear (L/R), and

2 channels for Subwoofer, the full set

of RCA line outputs allows integration

into a wide range of potential sys-

tems, and is ready to support future

system expansions.

CCD rear camera via RCA

input helps confirm what’s

behind you

The RCA input enables you to smoothly

connect a CCD rear camera to display

the area behind your vehicle on your

onboard TV monitor. The increased

view from the driver’s seat makes driv-

ing safer in vehicles in which it is hard

to see out the back, or at times when

seeing what’s behind you is difficult.

DivX is a common media language that

delivers a pure digital experience, Clarion

had provided DivX playback on most of its

2008 In-dash video line-up. DivX enriched

video files deliver superior video quality

and allow more information on a single disk.

Once again Clarion delivers the features you

expect.

Digital media ready (DivX

)

High Pass/Low Pass Filter

You can set the frequency range of the

audio signal that's output to each channel,

to best match the acoustic characteristics

of the front, rear and subwoofer. This is also

possible even if you decide to connect your

original speakers directly to your head unit

without an external amplifier. The High Pass

Filter is also available to cut off frequencies

below 50, 80 or 120 kHz.

Soft in-dash integration

Through its changeable background colour,

feeling of your car interior can be smoothly

adapted to your own taste and preferences,

by harmonizing the colour design of the dis-

play and keys with your car dashboard illu-

mination.

Non-fader subwoofer control

The dedicated non-fader subwoofer output

has a level control to give you more control

over your system’s bass performance. This

even includes a low-pass crossover which,

when selected, turns the rear channel RCA

line level outputs into dedicated subwoofer

outputs.

AUX input with sensitivity

adjustment

The auxiliary input allows you to listen to

external sound sources through the car’s

audio system. And since it allows the sensi-

tivity level to be changed, you can adjust it to

the level that is optimal for the input device

you are using. This minimises the need to

adjust the volume level every time you switch

to a new sound source.
