Virtual Space Enhancer

The car’s interior is plagued by a standing wave

produced by reflective sounds in the neighbor-

hood of 230Hz, which disrupts low frequency

reproduction. Taking this in to consideration,

Clarion has

designed and

developed the

Virtual Space

Enhancer. The

VSE lets the

user digitally

compensate for irregular reflection, polarization

and other acoustic problems in the vehicles inte-

rior

Time Alignment Control

This function lets you get the same sound per-

formance from each speaker in relation to the

listener regardless of where the listener is seat-

ed., with pinpoint

setting of speakers

accessible through

the easy FRONT-L,

FRONT-R, FRONT,

REAR, and FULL

SEAT position

menu. And since up

to five settings can be saved in memory, you can

quickly call up your favorite sound setting.

(Adjustment range 0cm-500cm in 5cm steps)

AC-Processor II: Cutting Edge

Technology for Total Sound Control

The AC-Processor II is Clarion’s original

advanced digital sound processing technology

developed by bringing together various sound

quality and sound field manipulation technolo-

gies. It provides a wide spectrum of features

like Dolby Pro Logic II, VSE Time Alignment

and parametric EQ. The AC-Processor II has

three preset functions: Pro Logic II, Pro Mode

and Standard Mode. With all these features

and functions, the AC-Processor II will defi-

nately satisfy anyone, even the audio purist.

Dolby Pro Logic II

Dolby Pro Logic II is a matrix sound decoding

technology developed by Dolby Laboratories

that is able to take any 2-channel source

source, such as a CD or radio broadcast,

decode it, and

output it as 5.1

channel sound.

Clarion was the

world’s first to

incorporate this

innovation into the DXZ925 (now the DXZ935),

enabling the sonic experience of a live concert

to be reproduced in a vehicle.

Since it’s equipped with a Center Width Control

and a Matrix Mode that simulates the center

channel speaker using the front L/R speakers,

you can reproduce quasi 5.1 surround sound

effect from just the four standard speakers in

your vehicle. And other “live sound” adjust-

ments like Dimension mode and Panorama

mode are also available.
